In this session, we will be looking at mindfulness, and the positive impact it can have on young people; not only on their mental health, but also decreasing stress around exams. We will also be exploring the impact mindfulness can have on ourselves, and how we can use it to deal with difficult situations, in order to become better teachers.

Dan Licence is a mental health adviser at Osborne Cawkwell. He runs training workshops for tutors, teachers and parents, writes regular blogs, and interviews people from the industry in an effort to help raise awareness of mental health problems.

He is also a qualified mindfulness teacher through the Mindfulness in Schools Project, and a facilitator at Ruby Wax’s Frazzled café, which is a mental health support group that incorporates mindfulness into its sessions.
